Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
(YA, Dystopia) Sequel to Shatter Me.
This book made me realise how much I hate love triangles.
While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first one, I did continue to enjoy Tahereh’s unique, poetic prose. She has a way of capturing Juliette’s thoughts and turning them into something extremely visual. A rarity.
But I still think Shatter Me is, so far, the best of the trilogy. By far. I might even say I liked Juliette better then, too.
And I kinda lost respect for her when she willingly kissed Warner and forgot about Adam. I felt she couldn’t make up her mind and that’s all I wanted her to do. CHOOSE ONE JULIETTE.
Unravel Me was still an enjoyable read, with Tahereh’s inventive prose and the intensity of the looming war, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a unique dystopian adventure. I still couldn’t put it down.
